Skydance Paramount Set to Remove Nearly 2,000 American Positions – Update

Paramount Skydance will initiate significant workforce reductions the week of 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 positions in the United States within a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn under top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts are a result of the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August worth $8.4bn.

More overseas workforce reductions are expected, with the company planning to reveal all specifics during its Q3 financial results on 10 November.

Prior news stated that Paramount was looking to reduce between 2,000 and 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.

Until December 2024, the organization employed about 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 temporary project employees.

The organization has not provided a response on the matter.
