Helicopter Twirls Wildly into Palm Fronds at Popular California Shoreline
A helicopter hovering near a popular coastal beach suddenly started spinning wildly, finally losing altitude and crashing into a cluster of palm trees as beachgoers looked on.
Videos uploaded on social media capture the aircraft commencing to spiral above the shoreline then descending near the edge of the shore, where it gets stuck amidst palm groves and a staircase close to the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
Local firefighters said five individuals were rushed to the hospital involving a pair who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the incident on the weekend.
Three persons on the road were injured. Details on their injuries were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
